Something different today as we bring Oh Minnows’ take on the Jesus & Mary Chain classic ‘Just Like Honey’. The track features on a compilation album called ‘Just Like Honey’ which features 11 interpretations of the song from artists including Seapony, Kidcity and We Are Enfant Terrible.
The album was put together by the people behind www.justlikehoney.co.uk, an indie blog dedicated to getting bands to do covers of the song. There are many versions available in downloadable podcasts from the blog, but this particular compilation has been created to raise money for Breast Cancer Care (www.breastcancercare.org.uk) and can be bought in digital format from http://justlikehoney.bandcamp.com/album/just-like-honey. 100% of the money will go to Breast Cancer Care.

London based indie rock quartet Skeletons On Holiday release their long awaited debut single next month. The double A side, ‘Night Of The Long Knives’ and ‘Silence Is Broken’, is released on 9th January via Hold Me To Ransom. Both tracks are a little dark which suits us perfectly, but if pushed we’d have to state a preference for ‘Silence Is Broken’, but you can make yur own mind up ahead of it’s release as we have a stream of both right here!
It’s been a long time since The Helmholtz Resonators graced our pages, so it’s with great pleasure that we can announce that the most dapper musical scientists we have ever had the pleasure to meet are back. Even more exciting is that while locked away in a secret laboaratory, they concocted a brand new track in the shape of the brilliant ‘Isobar’ and we have it right here for you, you lucky people!
