News: Ou Est Le Swimming Pool to release debut album

Ou Est Le Swimming Pool have announced that despite the death of singer Charlie Haddon last week they will proceed with the release of their debut album. The London-based group will relase ‘The Golden Year’ on 3 October.
Despite only releasing three singles, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool had become one of England’s most hotly tipped groups, opening for La Roux, playing Glastonbury twice, and booking gigs at Australia’s Parklife festival, Paris’s Rock en Seine and the upcoming Bestival. Their burgeoning career came to an abrupt halt last week after Haddon, 22, apparently committed suicide at Belgium’s But their story came to a tragic end on 20 August, when Haddon, 22, apparently killed himself at Belgium’s Pukkelpop festival.
The band’s management said the decision to release the ablum had been made after consultation with Haddon’s family. The title was previously reported as being ‘Christ Died for Our Synths’ but that has now been changed to ‘The Golden Year’
