town bike - bastard heart

For those of you not familiar with Town Bike (shame on you, go check out debut album ‘Go! Fight! Win!) they’re a pop punk outfit from Liverpool who proudly wear their influences, mainly The Ramones and The Ronettes, on their sleeves.

Coming in at just under two minutes, this latest single ‘Bastard Heart’ starts off with a Shangri-La’s style talking intro before it explodes into the song proper with it’s thrashing guitars. Lyrically, lines like ‘you pissed on all my dreams and fucking broke my bastard heart’ leaves you in little doubt that you wouldn’t to be the ex-boyfriend singer Sarah is singing this to! The b-side is a fairly straight, but still good, cover of the Kiss classic ‘Crazy Nights’ a song I’d almost completely forgotten about. A great single, and hopefully a good indication of what we can expect from the forthcoming second album. And it’s free – crazy I know but you can download it here: http://www.wiaiwya.com/
