It’s the last day of Canadian Music Week and to be honest there were times, mainly getting back at 6am, that I wasn’t sure if we’d make it through the festival. Today is the first day of Canadian Music Week, Canada’s answer to SXSW, a staggering event in Toronto featuring 800 bands playing 55 venues over the next 5 nights. I arrived here two days ago amidst a flurry of snow which in England would be enough to bring the country to its knees and cause a national panic. Next week normal activity here at Punk Rock Ist Nicht Tot will be suspended for a week as we head to Toronto for Canadian Music Week.
CMW, Canada’s answer to SXSW, runs from 9th March – 13th March and features an astounding 800 bands playing in 55 venues over 5 nights and Punk Rock Ist Nicht Tot will be in the thick of it! Read more…
