It’s the last day of Canadian Music Week and to be honest there were times, mainly getting back at 6am, that I wasn’t sure if we’d make it through the festival. It’s the start of our fourth night at Canadian Music Week and the past three nights of gigging and drinking, coupled with lack of daylight and any sign of healthy food is beginning to take its toll! It’s only day two of the five day festival and already our bodies have adjusted to being out all night, sleeping all day and grabbing snacks when we can. Today is the first day of Canadian Music Week, Canada’s answer to SXSW, a staggering event in Toronto featuring 800 bands playing 55 venues over the next 5 nights. I arrived here two days ago amidst a flurry of snow which in England would be enough to bring the country to its knees and cause a national panic.
